Hi there,
My user name on here and LCOOL - Peter915
My LC
A 2001 model, Burgundy, GXL, came with alloy bull bar. 4 speed Auto box, 1HD-FTE
This is my third LC, a 105 diesel & a 60 series modified (chevy V8 & LPG)

My current LC had 146,000 when we brought it 3 years ago, now 207,000 kilometers
We use our LC to pull our 3 tonne dual axle caravan
My partner and I are full time Nomads (no fixed abode) touring Australia

Below is a list of mods I have done to our LC;

1/ Wholesale Automatics Nomad valve body ( http://www.automatictransmission.com.au ... ewsId=4651)
2/ Castrol Transmax Z gearbox oil ( http://productsforyou.castrol.com.au/pr ... nsmax-Z/63)
3/ Gearbox temp sender & VDO guage
4/ Modified air inlet to air cleaner box
5/ Safari Snorkel
6/ Safari large Inter-cooler
7/ Turbo boost pressure to just below ECU max level cut-out (approx increase 20kpa)
8/ Remove EGR valve from inlet manifold
9/ Remove Pre- Air heater from inlet manifold
10/ 80mm Mandrel bent exhaust with large dump pipe. Beaudesert brand
11/ Coolant loss alarm
12/ Full instrumentation - 6x plus the above VDO at 3/ - http://www.mcnallyelectronics.com/
13/ Neoprene bushes throughout front suspension
14/ Strengthened bottom control arms
15/ Firestone air-bags rear suspension
16/ Clearview Mirrors
17/ Windscreen visor ( http://hywaysunvisors.rtrk.com.au)
18/ Front tow-bar hitch point
19/ Modified centre diff lock switch so I can use low range without 4x wheel drive - 2x wheel drive only (pin 7 mod)
20/ Extra/modified earthing loom points
21/ 125 amp Anderson cable circuit to rear outlet for caravan
22/ Torque converter lock kit
23/ All rear seats removed -leaving only the two front seats.
24/ Load Barrier installed behind location of main rear seat.
25/ LED lights in all lights except headlights, incl interior lights
26/ Upgraded wiring loom to headlights incl heavy duty relay
27/ 7 inch ICE system with 2x camera input from caravan & rear LC
28/ Uniden UH-7760NB UHF
29/ Discrete roof mount UHF antenna
30/ Twin drawer cargo area
And other many miscellaneous bits & bobs, fog/daytime running lights, etc.

a 105 and a diesel - all of your USA mates are officially jealous!

Cool Drawer Build to go with your equally cool 105.

Rob
Yeah thank you,
Its a 100 series here in OZ
The 105 series here has the 1HZ (non-turbo) diesel in it - basically the 105 was a carry over from the 80 series, with live axle front suspension - both were available here at the same time.
The mines preferred the 105 series for its simplicity and was cheaper.

My 100 LC is the IFS front end (same as your 100 series) but with the factory 1HD-FTE engine - Turbo Diesel with EFI, inter-cooled - producing 151kW (stock standard) and slightly more torque than your petrol V8 cousins

Thanks for clarifying, I saw the 105 in your description - cool none the less.

No diesel options up here unless an owner wants to go custom.

Nice idea on the roof mount antenna I hadn't thought of the rail mount location.

Man that's a good idea. I think I need to build some drawers like this too.
