I am sure I am revisiting a similar topic but I cannot find a resource to help me with my delima.

I am torn between a 1999 Land Cruiser and a 2000 Lexus LX470 but cannot decide which one. Both are about the same money, in about the same condition, service record, etc but the Land Cruiser has 260,000 and the LX470 has just under 200,000.

My question is there that much difference between the two other then the mileage or should I just flip a coin?

Any help is appreciated.

All else equal I'd go lower mileage only for the fact that some wear items are younger. Now If you said "Rob I want to build an off roader to head into the deep dark places other than a mall" I might say the LC since it has a factory rear diff locker in 1999... but just maybe. The 2000 LX will have many more safety features and the ATRAC system it has is very capable off road. If the LX AHC suspension is working and leak free it's also a nice perk.

To get the bottom line I 'd really need to know your intended use.
